REUNION IN THE ISLE OF MAN…AUGUST, 2007

In early August of 2007 the Cannell cousins did travel to the Isle of Man for a reunion with their Christian cousins.  It was a wonderful time of sightseeing, visiting, and eating!  On Saturday the 4th of August the Christian cousins hosted a wonderful dinner with Manx entertainment.  The next day was to feature a picnic at Bride  but it began to rain and so the venue was moved into the hall.  This was another happy gathering with marvelous food and jolly companionship.  The following pictures were taken there:

(Apologies to any students of genealogy as I have inserted Christian or Cannell in each name whether it is actually part of the person’s name, just to illustrate which are from which branch of the family.)

       

 There will be no photos for August, 2011 as we found so few people could attend this year’s reunion we have canceled.  It is our collective thought that perhaps it is more realistic to have a reunion every other year rather than annually.  We commend the folks who have traveled long distances to the reunion and hope this change might help them to continue to attend regularly.
